anonymouslove3I was out of the states for the last half of 2008, and without a phone.  It got me to thinking about how much richer communication can be when you have a lot to say, and a lot of time to think about it, but only a small amount of space to transmit it.  This, in turn, made me think about love letters, and how we don’t really write them anymore.  You can send a quick email or say “I love you” at the end of a phone call, but it rarely comes close to expressing what you really feel.  I started looking up the love letters of Abigail and John Adams, among others, and thought about what smart people could do with just a sheet of paper when separated.

So here’s the website, in a nut shell: write to something/someone you love, and one side of the equation has to be anonymous.  Think PostSecret meets Craigslist missed connections.

All love letters must be original content and upon submission are fully released for all forms of publication in perpetuity.

Thanks,

Anonymous
